| Bullet For My Valentine - Scream Aim Fire Music Review By RipperEagle Rating: 4.4
When it comes to classifying bands under genres distinctly, it has always been hard to classify Bullet for My Valentine, often using the acronym of “BFMV”. Their first rock radio hit, “All These Things I Hate (Revolve Around Me)” screamed emo, as does their appearance and name, but damn if they can’t rock out. Released on January 29th 2008, their sophomore release for Zomba Records (which calls their metal creditability into light anyway, since Zomba is a pop record for the most part) the Welshmen concentrate more on their piercing attack.
1. Scream Aim Fire (5) -Outstanding opener and hard hitting track: Matt Tuck can sing and scream easily. 2. Eye Of The Storm (5) -WAS my favorite track on album prior to re-release. 3. Hearts Burst Into Fire (5) -A well put together near ballad song: strong stuff and radio ready. 4. Waking the Demon (5) -See, NOW they even sing about metal things as well! 5. Disappear (4) -Sing & Scream lyrics work for the most part. 6. Deliver Us From Evil (4) -Long song (5:55) slow tempo but not a ballad. 7. Take It Out On Me (5) -Great song, another long one (5:50) but never gets boring. 8. Say Goodnight (4) -Their second ballad: this one works but it eventually tears into top gear. 9. End of Days (5) -Quick strike song and a good rebound from the previous ballad. 10. Last To Know (3) -Shortest song on the album (only one under four minutes): decent song. 11. Forever And Always (5) -Last ballad, and a killer way to end the original CD on. 12. Road to Nowhere* (4) -Acoustic first half gives way to hammering second half of the song. 13. Watching Us Tonight* (4) -Pretty solid affair, seems like it would have made the album. 14. One Good Reason Why* (4) - “Can You please keep screaming, screaming blood…for me”? 15. Ashes Of the Innocent* (5) -LOVE this song: absolute heaviest song on this album!
*Bonus tracks from the December 9th, 2008 re-release of the CD as a deluxe collectors edition: this one also came with a DVD.

| I didn't pay attention to "The Poisioning". I actually didn't even hear that song "All these things" until like, 3-4 weeks prior to this album first being released in January of 2008. But I wanted to try. Do not regret it in the least. The bonus stuff from the deluxe edition is awesome too. | |
