| Anthrax - We’ve Come For You All Music Review By RipperEagle Rating: 4.5
Anthrax have created their very own niche: consistently molding thrash, metal, and hard rock, they formed in 1983 and seemingly ended it in 2003 with “We’ve Come For You All” their final release to this point. The band retained three original members (guitarist Scott Ian, bassist Frank Bello, and drummer Charlie Beanate) while singer John Bush returns for his 5th album, and new guitarist Rob Caggliano takes the place of long time lead guitarist Jason Spitz. Released on Sanctuary Records, the ingredients are well mixed: would it be a fond fair well, or yet another misstep, like most of their 90’s work was?
1. Contact (N/A) -Near one and a half minute introduction. 2. What Doesn’t Die (5) -Sounds like an invigorated, late 80’s Anthrax again, which is very good. 3. Superhero (5) -Strong song with a drum and bass powered groove over the chorus. 4. Refuse to Be Denied (4) -A good hard rock song which contemplates “real patriotism”. 5. Safe Home (3) -Used as the single off the album: not bad, but more pop rock oriented. 6. Any Place But Here (4) -Takes too long to get started (about a minute) but real good when it does. 7. Nobody Knows (5) -Second shortest song: hammers down after a funky Beanate drum intro. 8. Strap It On (5) -A solid up and down number which reflects on the past. 9. Black Dahlia (5) -Shortest actual song on here (2:38) is just like Anthrax of old! 10. Cadillac Rock Box (5) -Southern rock influence: features the now deceased Dimebag Darrell. 11. Taking The Music Back (4) -Song is recorded live with Roger Daltrey (although you hardly hear him). 12. Crash (N/A) -56 Second interlude 13. Think About An End (5) -My favorite song on the album: Bush wittingly refers to “dogmatic restraints,” “Inbred guilt,” and “Rage against the machine spewing out blind faith.” 14. We’ve Come For You All (4) -Lots of lyrics over the chorus, perhaps a bit of overwriting by Bush: after the song ends, wait about two minutes for a minute of maracas shaking.

| Yeah, I was kind of wishing they would have done at least one more album with their original lineup. MAYBE it would still be happening, but Bush > Belladonna in my opinion. | |
