Liz Phair is an artist that you've really gotta stop and listen to with an open mind to appriciate....By the time this self titled album came out in 2003, Phair had already cemented her status as the Indie Rock Goddess....This self titled album got her the reputation of a sell out because it headed down the mainstream soundwave way more than her previous efforts, and in a way she did, but if you listen carefuly to every song and especially the lyrics, you'll see that the real Liz Phair is still there and while this album doesn't exactly stack up with some of her previous efforts....If you give it an honest try....it's really a good album....Extraordinary and Why Can't I would be the two big singles and both of them are very good.....Rock Me is also a catchy fun tune....Favorite, Take A Look, and H.W.C. are also great songs....H.W.C. is by far the closest Liz Phair comes on this album to her old antics....If you've ever listened to Liz you know what I mean...The letters stand for Hot White Cum and it is typical Liz....
