Ok...I'm calling this Goth Rock because that's pretty much what it is and that's what you'll know it best as, however I could call it what lead singer Vile Vallo called it....Love Metal....IMO, I think these guys are awesome...this album is a testament to just how awesome they really are....brought to the American attention by Jackass Bam Margera because he loved their music so much that he wanted everyone in America to hear them, HIM is a European Goth Rock/Love Metal band that sings mainly, if not completely about love and relationships gone disasterous, most often to extremely haunting music, or heavy music, and singer Vallo's voice is just perfect for the task they are attempting....A lot of the lyrics are very gloom and doom and depressing but the great thing about them is everyone can relate because everyone at one point or another has had their heart literally shredded into millions of pieces so the lyrics most often connect on a very personal and spiritual level....You can see that best on the song Bury Me Deep Inside Your Heart....From front to back just a badass album and the cover of Chris Issak's Wicked Game is on point....I wouldn't call it better, but I wouldn't call it worse, and Issak's song was awesome...One Last Time is the perfect song to end the album on and we all know by now that I'm a stickler for a strong finish to an album....
