Savage Garden - Affirmation Music Review
by YoungstownRenegade
3.58

This is Savage Garden's sophomore album and although it has it's many strong points, it does not live up to the first one....The first half of the album has the song I Knew I Loved You which is a very good love song but the album really takes off on the tail end of the album with the last couple songs....Two Beds and a Coffee Machine, You Can Still Be Free, Gunning Down Romance, and I Don't Know You Anymore are the highlights of the album along with two of the three singles from the album.....Gunning Down Romance is the best song on the album IMO and I Knew I Loved You and Crash and Burn are strong by The Animal Song bombed huge on the radio and while it was better than the reception it got, it was not one of their best attempts....the album also features the drum work of Steve Smith, formally of Journey which adds a huge plus to the album....

1. Affirmation (3)
2. Hold Me (2)
3. I Knew I Loved You (5)
4. The Best Thing (2)
5. Crash And Burn (4)
6. Chained To You (4)
7. The Animal Song (2)
8. The Lover After Me (3)
9. Two Beds And A Coffee Machine (5)
10. You Can Still Be Free (5)
11. Gunning Down Romance (5)
12. I Don't Know You Anymore (5)

Thoughts and comments welcome....
